Running Series FAQs

The Track Shack Running Series is a six-race, USATF-sanctioned series featuring certified courses in distances of 5K, 4 Mile, 5 Mile, and 10K.
The Series begins in August and concludes in March. Races are B-Tag timed and scored using a Grand Prix–style points system, with points awarded based on race results.

Points are earned by:

  • Participating in an in-person Track Shack Running Series race, and
  • Placing in the top 10 overall or top 10 in your age group

Virtual races do not include scoring or awards.

To be eligible for Running Series awards, participants must:

  • Complete at least five of the six Series races, and
  • Accumulate the highest point totals in their division

Award recipients are recognized at the Running Series Awards Ceremony.

Awards and prizes are open to Florida residents ages 8 and up who meet the scoring and participation requirements.

Your Running Series age group is based on your age at your first Track Shack Running Series race and remains the same for the entire Series.

Example: Annie is 24 at her first Series race in August and turns 25 in September. She will compete in the 19–24 age group for the full Series.

Individual race results reflect your age on race day, which may differ from your Series age group.

A Fanatic is a participant who completes a one-time registration for all six Track Shack Running Series races. Fanatics enjoy added convenience, exclusive perks, and automatic registration for each event in the Series.

No. Any runner who competes in an in-person Series race and places in the top 10 overall or top 10 in their age group can earn points. Being a Fanatic does not guarantee points, it simply streamlines registration and unlocks additional benefits.

You may register for individual races and still earn Running Series points.
Being a Fanatic means:

  • You’re registered for all six races at once
  • You receive exclusive Fanatic perks
  • Your bib name remains consistent throughout the Series
